Nice to e-meet you! I am Lingda (Leonard) Wang (王凌达), an ECE Ph.D. at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, advised by Prof. Zhizhen Jane Zhao. I also closely work with my friends Bingcong Li and Huozhi Zhou.
My current research focuses on:

  • Machine/Deep Learning: Large scale time series forecasting for demand prediction and inventory planning; Spatio-temporal sequence forecasting for climate and precipitation prediction; Multi-armed (contextual) bandits with its applications for recommendation systems and social networks; Graph neural nets
  • Optimization: Acceleration for convex optimization; Stochastic optimization for large-scale optimization problems
  • Signal Processing/Data Analysis: Community detection; Phase synchronization; Spectral methods; Computational imaging
